Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
These terms apply to anyone who registers an exhibitor or buyer through this website for the Dixie Junior Livestock Show ("the show", "DJLS"). By registering you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language; if anything is unclear, email djlivestockshow@gmail.com and we'll explain.
1. Registration and Payment
- Online exhibitor registration requires payment of the per-animal entry fee. The fee is shown on the registration form before you pay.
- Registration is non-refundable after the registration close date. Until the close date, contact the committee for a refund.
- The Show Committee may, at its discretion, refund or waive fees in cases of hardship — contact the committee privately.
- Buyer registration is free.
2. Show Schedule and Rules
- The show reserves the right to modify the schedule (dates, times, locations) as circumstances require. We will notify registered families by email of any material changes.
- All exhibitors must abide by the published Show Rules, including the Code of Ethics, animal-care standards, and conduct expectations.
- The Show Committee has final authority over interpretation and enforcement of the rules.
3. Animal Health and Eligibility
- All animals must meet the health and eligibility requirements set out in the rule book (vaccinations, scrapie tags, brand-inspection certificates, etc.).
- Animals may be examined at weigh-in and may be sifted (excluded from competition) if they fail health, weight, or condition standards.
- The show reserves the right to require veterinary certification at any time.
4. Limitation of Liability
- Each exhibitor and their family is solely responsible for the care, handling, and safety of their animal while on the grounds.
- The show, its committee, volunteers, sponsors, and the host venue are not responsible for injury or loss to exhibitors, animals, equipment, vehicles, or other property on the grounds or in transit to/from the show.
- Each exhibitor (or their parent/guardian) is responsible for any damage or injury caused by their animal to others or their property.
- The show is not responsible for the actions of buyers or third parties, including processors and transporters.
5. Photo and Media Release
By registering for or attending the show, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Photographs and video may be taken of exhibitors, animals, families, and attendees during the show.
- Photos and video may be used for show promotion on this website, on the show's social-media accounts, in printed programs, press releases, and other promotional materials.
- We do not pay royalties or compensation for the use of these images.
- You may opt out by contacting the show committee in writing before the event at djlivestockshow@gmail.com. We will do our best to keep opted-out exhibitors out of promotional photography but cannot guarantee complete removal from group shots, crowd shots, or photos taken by attendees, media, or buyers.
6. Public Sale Results
Sale results — including the exhibitor's name, animal species and ribbon, buyer's company name, and sale price — may be posted publicly on the show website, the show's Facebook page, and in printed programs. By registering you consent to this disclosure. If you wish to opt your child's name out of public sale-result posting, you must request this in writing before show day and the committee will work with you to arrange a private listing.
7. Disputes
- Complaints and protests must be submitted in writing to the Grievance Committee within six hours of the event in question, accompanied by the $50 deposit specified in the rule book.
- The Show Committee's decision on all disputes is final and binding — by participating, you waive any right to further appeal beyond the committee's grievance process.
- These terms do not waive any rights you have under applicable Utah or federal law (consumer-protection statutes, etc.).
8. Acceptable Use of the Website
- Don't try to disrupt, overload, scrape, or attack this website.
- Don't impersonate other families or buyers when registering.
- Don't submit false information. We may cancel registrations submitted in bad faith and refuse future entries from the same household.
9. Privacy
Your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to request deletion.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes (anything that affects refunds, liability, or photo use) will be announced to registered families by email.
11. Contact
For questions about these terms, refunds, or anything else, email djlivestockshow@gmail.com or call the USU Extension office at 435-301-7748.
By submitting an exhibitor or buyer registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
