About the Dixie Junior Livestock Show
The Dixie Junior Livestock Show is Washington County's annual youth livestock show, market sale, and scholarship event. Local kids enrolled in 4-H or FFA raise market steers, hogs, lambs, or goats — they train, feed, and show the animals themselves, then sell them at auction to local buyers who support the program.
The show is a closed show for Washington County: exhibitors must live in Washington County or attend a Washington County School District high school.
How it works
Each year kids tag their animals in January, weigh in and show on Thursday and Friday, and sell at auction on Saturday. Buyers and supporters from the community come together to recognize the kids' work and to raise funds for scholarships.
For current dates and times, see the Schedule. For exhibitor and buyer rules, see the Rule Book.
